The BRFLS-Spain Program (Royalespa?ol) is a co-cooperative program between Beijing Royal Foreign Language School (Senior High) and Gredos San Diego (GSD) High School. Since its establishment in 2015, the Royalespa?ol Program has been dedicated to encouraging the language acquisition of both Spanish as the second foreign-language as well as English using certificate-level instruction. Building upon the values of civic awareness embodied by EU society, this Program is committed to preparing students to have global vision and competence with a sense of responsibility and a humanistic spirit.
The Royalespa?ol program is a “2 plus 1” Cultivation Mode: Students study in China for two years and in Spain for one year. While studying in China, all courses and textbooks are synchronized with Spain and credits will be mutually recognized. Upon graduating, students will obtain Spain’s Secondary School Diploma—if full course credit is achieved—which can be used for direct application to universities in Spain.
All faculty in this program hold Spanish university degrees and applicable experience therein. The program focuses on humane care education, implements the Communicative Language Teaching approach for class, provides full-time systematic life management and extra-curriculum activities for students.
As the BRS campus is a qualified, fully-licensed DELE Examination Center in Beijing, the Royalespa?ol Program can provide high-level teaching resources, a diverse international campus experience and certificate-level exams all on the BRS campus. For many years, the Royalespa?ol Program has cultivated many students’ ability to acquire both Spanish and English languages as well as learn about Spanish culture, which has been instrumental to many gaining acceptance into top-tier universities and colleges in Spain.
